Bullfrogs were brought to California in the 1920’s.
Since then, they have taken over most of the ponds and marshes, crowding out
native frogs like the Red-legged Frog. They are much bigger than other
frogs. They eat anything they can swallow, including other frogs, fish and
small rodents. Each spring, one female produces about 20,000 eggs. |
